Almost ten years ago, once the children had flown the nest I moved to the glorious county of Cornwall with my now retired husband Ray. I divide my time between dog grooming, in a workshop in my garden, and writing. My past working life within education now seems a million miles away. I’ve always been an avid reader and writing was something I’d promised myself I’d do ‘once I had the time.’ I began that journey by joining a local writing group and had fun with stories/plays that were performed on radio and performed by local theatre. Once I’d had my first short e-story accepted by Carina UK that gave me the spur to carry on. Being part of a local writing group helps to keep me focused and for inspiration I only have to step outside my back door and the coastal paths and beaches are just a stones throw away.
