Wyoming rancher Bret McNulty leaves his wife and baby and sets out to find Dick Drago, the notorious killer of his kid brother. After weeks of travel, he finds Drago in the town of Galeyville, Arizona Territory, a town controlled by outlaws. Following a bloody showdown Bret must flee for his life.
As he escapes, he meets Corporal Silas Amery, a resourceful Buffalo soldier from the Tenth Colored Cavalry stationed at Fort Huachuca.
After Bret and Silas are attacked by renegade Apaches, the Corporal devises a clever plan to help Bret get back home to his wife and baby daughter.
