Matt Poll has spent most of the past decade lurking in the bushes search of rare birds in South Korea, and has written a memoir about the shenanigans involved with being a foreign birdwatcher there. He has also started writing a series of stories exploring the creepy side of birding, as well as a thriller novel set on Korea’s DMZ.
