Love is in the Air CoverBlurb:

Sophie Grant made a promise to her friend. She will travel more and work less. She loves the comfort of her book store and has no desire what-so-ever to go on an adventure—not when she can read about them every day in a book.
But a promise is a promise.

After sticking a pin in a map she heads off to the Colorado Rockies.
High in the Colorado Rockies, world renowned photographer Jonas Hansen is healing from a personal loss. Will Sophie’s kind nature, love of photography, and beautiful smile make Jonas whole again?

Excerpt:
Sophie climbed the stairs and Jonas held the door open for her. He didn’t leave a lot of room to get by and she could feel his breath across her neck as their bodies brushed. He removed the pack from her shoulder after she stepped inside and one of the straps snapped.
“That’s a new backpack. I can’t believe that just happened.” At first, Sophie felt embarrassed, and then mad that her pack didn’t even last a day before something broke.
He laughed and pointed to a picnic-bench-style table. “Don’t worry. I can fix it. Have a seat. Would you like a cup of coffee?”
Sophie took a deep breath and replied, “I’d love a cup. Heavy on the cream please.” She sat and zipped her pocket before she removed her coat. Sophie didn’t want any of her precious feathers to float away.
“That’s how I drink my coffee, but I only have the powdered stuff. Is that all right?” Jonas asked as he laid her pack on the table.
“Sure. I’m not picky. I usually drink it out of my secondhand Mr. Coffee machine.” Sophie had a hard time keeping her eyes off of Jonas. He took off his jacket and his large shoulders pulled at the fabric of his shirt, emphasizing the muscles in his back and arms. Talk about being unprofessional. She needed to stop ogling his body. To distract herself, she looked around the building. The interior reminded Sophie of a miniature ski lodge, except hiking poles and backpacks hung on the walls instead of skis and goggles.
“Here you go. The coffee is hot, but not necessarily good.” His hand brushed hers as he pulled away.
“I’ll take it hot over good any day.” Too late, she realized how that might’ve sounded. The heat rose in her cheeks as she clarified, “I meant I like my coffee served hot.”

Here's my writing process. By Author Beth Wilson

Does it need any preface or closure?

My first step is the idea. In Worth It, that was simply “girl and guy with big age difference.” The main characters come next, and a general direction for the story with the desired ending. Then I add secondary characters and plot, and start writing the scenes. Once I get to the end, I rewrite a couple of times, and then edit. My favorite method is to write the first draft during National Novel Writing Month in November, because it gives me such a boost to get it done so quickly and because it’s so fun to spend a month with other writers pounding away at the keyboard! The rest of the process is fun, too, though. After writing a good scene, I always feel energetic and happy.

When I set out to write a story or a novel, the first step for me is the idea. In Worth It, that was simply “girl and guy with big age difference.” I’ve always heard that you should write what you know, so I tend to develop the idea in a location I’m familiar with, and with jobs that I’ve had or that a friend has.

The main characters come next, and a general direction for the story with the desired ending. Occasionally I’m not sure of the ending until I get a little ways into the story, but it works best if I know where I’m going before I start trying to get there.

After that, I add secondary characters, plot, and subplot, and then it’s time to start writing the scenes. My favorite method is to write the first draft during National Novel Writing Month in November, because it gives me such a boost to get it done so quickly and because it’s so fun to spend a month with other writers pounding away at the keyboard! After writing a good scene, I always feel energetic and happy.

Once I get to the end, I rewrite a time or two, and then edit. Sometimes during the rewrite I make some major changes that I didn’t think of until halfway through the first draft, and sometimes the second draft is just an edited first draft, depending on how well I planned it out before I started writing. I enjoy the editing process, but it’s always difficult to stop, and even after a story is done I tend to think of things to change several days later when it’s too late. A story is never really done, though. You just have to stop at some point and step away.

International Best-Seller Chris Karlsen Releases her Knights in Time Boxed Set

International Best-Seller Chris Karlsen Releases her Knights in Time Boxed Set”!

Five Star Review!

“Knights In Time is a great series!

Heroes Live Forever Book 1

The cover fits the story perfectly. This is a romantic story of a wonderful knight who is given a second chance of life and love. As a ghost he falls in love with Elinor who has inherited his ancestral lands. It is a delightful tale with romance and humor. It was hard to put down. I highly recommend it and I plan to read her next novel. Very good story line – great detail and the characters were interesting. I really can’t wait to read more from this author.

Journey In Time Book 2

Shakira and Alex are well-drawn characters unexpectedly thrust back in time to a date one is very familiar with – and the other is not. A breathtaking, heart-felt romance sprinkled with humor, Journey in Time is a fantastic read full of vivid, historical detail you will not want to miss! I really enjoyed the thought put into this book. There were times that I just could not stop reading. I had to go on and see how a particular incident was going to turn out. The research really was spot on for that time in history.

Knight Blindness Book 3

have read Ms. Karlsen’s previous books in this series and really like these characters. This is an intriguing story that will have you turning the pages as Stephen, a knight from the past finds himself both blind and transported to a new future he cannot see or understand. There’s also a bit of suspense added to this story – for Stephen was not the only one who came through the time hole. Great characters and detail in the setting, and a puzzle to solve as well! Very intriguing.”

Jennifer Conner Releases her latest book,

“I’ve read most of Jennifer Conner’s sweet romance stories over the years and they seem to just get better and better. These series she writes with other authors have been fun–Places To See and The Love List–and The Pancake Club seems to be too. I like that they are short and sweet and a quick read. I also like the fact that they take place in a small town. And, as you can tell by my name, I love the romance! I look forward to the other stories in these series as well.” Romance Reader

When people think of Washington State, they think of Seattle. The metropolis city that keeps getting bigger and bigger every day. But, just a hundred miles East and over the mountain pass there is desert, cowboys, and small towns with the population of a few hundred (if that).

When I had the idea for my new series, The Pancake Club, I knew I wanted to place it in one of these small towns. It’s about four single friends who meet at the Memories Diner for breakfast a few times a week. The fun thing is that the Memories Diner really does exist in Ritzville, Washington.

It’s an adorable home cooked meal restaurant with tons of small town charm. I got to talk with Lori Gorman who is one of the charming owners and tickled pink to have our book series set in her diner.

FIVE STAR REVIEW

5.0 out of 5 stars A Lovable Story!

By Debby Lee

I loved this heartwarming Christmas story.
Josey was a workaholic who spent all her spare time at the office in order to cope with the tragic loss of her parents and being jilted by her fiance. I really felt for her.
Clint was a handsome veterinarian Josey met at an animal rescue event who helped her buy a large slobbering dog named Cookie. Clint handled the animals with professionalism, sincerity, and great care.
The two Morning Dove’s in the story, Harry and Beatrice, were desperate to see Josey and Clint get together in time for Christmas.
If you enjoy sweet plots, whimsical animal themes, and stories that make you go “aaawww” this one’s for you.
Highly entertaining, highly recommended!

BLURB:

In the blink of an eye, Josey lost the most important people in her life, her parents.
Can a hound dog named Cookie, a pair of mourning doves, and a passionate vet bring the holiday spirit back to Josey’s life in time for Christmas?
EXCERPT:

As I stared at the pathetic dog in his diaper, I realized no one wanted the dog, they were just gawking at him. The sign said his name was Cookie, part Basset Hound and part Redbone Coonhound. I didn’t know anything about either breed. I did know he was very large and he was slobbering everywhere and he should have a diaper around his neck. I turned to continue my search and a felt a tug on my pant leg. I looked down and Cookie had a hold of my jeans. When our eyes met, Cookie’s eyes twinkled, just like Clint’s.
A glob of drool hit the top of my shoe. He let go of my pant leg and licked the goo off my shoe. I wanted to say, “gross,” but instead I said, “thank you.” I was hooked. His fur was a reddish brown and soft as silk. Not caring about drool or dog hair, I sat down on the floor next to Cookie, wrapped my arms around his neck, and finally felt at peace.
Another glob of drool hit the floor next to my butt. He looked sad, like that was a deal breaker and I’d leave him behind. I looked Cookie in his sad eyes and laughed. He pulled back his goofy lips and smiled back.
That’s when I heard Clint’s voice, “Well Josey, it looks like you found your soul mate.”

He laughed, but not at my expense.

Lighting Over Bennett Ranch

Book Two in The Ranch Collection

Publisher: Books
to Go Now
Release Date: June 9th, 2014
ASIN: B00KWEFP9K
Genre: Contemporary
Romance
Length: 15k
Sexual Rating: Sweet

Synopsis
Melody
Bennett’s parents trampled on her teenage romance with a drifter ten years ago.
He disappeared without a word of goodbyes on the night they had planned to run
away together. Since then, she cast aside her foolish notions of happily ever
after and worked hard alongside the hired help to care for the majestic horses
on her family’s beloved ranch. She refused to give love another chance and
resigned to live her life alone.

Max Fortaine
returned with a heart guarded by secrets and a sizable bank account
that took blood, prayers and tears to fund. The cowboy disrupted Melody’s
peaceful existence with stolen kisses and a promise for more. After a lifetime
of running, mistakes and regrets, he vowed to reclaim the only woman he ever
loved… if only her overprotective father didn’t stand in his way.

Excerpt

“Did you
ever love me? At least tell me the truth on that.”
Surprise
overshadowed the anger that burned in his eyes. “Yes, I did.
I’m sorry I made you doubt that.”
Her tight
control slipped and a tear slid down her face. Melody dug her nails into her
palms to regain control. “You owe me the truth.”
Max tunneled
his fingers through his spiky, dark blond hair. “I do, but I don’t want you to
hate me more than you already do.”
“I don’t hate you. I did a long time ago but I
forgave you.” She stepped back to give both of them breathing room. As it was,
all she could breathe in was his scent. She felt suffocated and strangely at
peace by it. “I’m happy, Max. My life is good. I missed you for a while but I
moved on. To answer your earlier question, no, I don’t have a boyfriend. I’ve
dated men after you, of course, but I’m single now. That’s my choice.” She
refused to tell him about her list of must-haves,
her criterion for potential love interests. Melody didn’t want him to know how
much his betrayal had affected her view on men and love. “Besides, I’m sure you
moved on to other women. I doubt a handsome man like you would have trouble
finding a new bedmate.”
He glanced
away and shifted his feet which confirmed her suspicion. She wrapped her arms
around her queasy stomach and walked toward a window. She peered through the
slats of the blinds but she didn’t see much of anything. “Do you have any idea
what it’s like to feel not good enough? Tell me why you left Willow Creek
without me. I don’t care what the answer is. I just want to know. I won’t hate
you for it.”

countless more in the future. She lives in the beautiful foothills of North
Carolina with her punk-rocker husband and their five crazy kitties.

As a fan of contemporary, paranormal and historical
novels alike, she can’t get enough of feisty heroines and alpha heroes. Her
mind is a wonderland of romance and adventure, laughter and awesome ways of
kicking a guy when he’s down. She probably wouldn’t be too sane without her computer
and notebooks. After all, what’s a girl to do when there are people jabbering
away in her head and it’s hard to shut them up?

Write! Nothing
else works.
