My Journey in Writing
by Shane Ward
There are many books, people and classes out there that tell you how to write a book and how to do it. Some of these ideas are just perfect for some people, others, are no so good. But for me, I have grown to understand that writing a book comes from the heart and it requires a lot of determination and the will to complete. Don’t get me wrong. Almost everybody wants to write a book, half try and then give up before the first chapter is completed, but writing a book is a long-term commitment and it has the power to change people’s lives. So who and what you put in that world could influence them for the rest of their life. A writers mind is power and that power can have rewarding feedback and most important tool a writer could have in his toolbox is word of mouth. Once someone likes your story, they will spread the word for you.
When I first started Terminus X I wanted a breathtaking story that would amaze readers and offer a bite sized medium in which to deliver this tale. It was originally a short story intended for an anthology, but the idea became so big and complex, I decided to put it into a series. I was also following M. Leon Smith’s series that it encouraged me to make a series of my own.
Terminus X is set in a world devastated by natural disaster, and the downfall of human civilization. In this story I wanted to add some old age faction of King and country combined with a futuristic sky world of Science Fiction and adventure. With beautiful woman, Kings, murder, mayhem and fast vehicles, I believe I have created a story that rides along with Star Wars and epic series that blows away the imagination.
And like most important projects, I believe its always very important to finished what I have started and with the world facing hardships in this current era, I believe my stories can make the reader look up and see the world in a new light. So if you have the time, download this amazing series and experience yourself the wonders of a mixed themed story that stretches the bounds of reality and fiction.
About Shane Ward:
Shane Ward used to spend most of his time dreaming up stories and tales that deserve to be out there for all to read. He’s been writing for many years now, his first project was fan fiction and he can still be found writing stories for his favourite TV shows, but he has now moved on to telling personal stories and attempting to become a professional novelist.
He lives in a small bucolic town on the outskirts of London where he uses his spare time to write and develop stories. He has had some success and is now attempting a novel.
His chosen genre is Science Fiction and he had written many stories in this field. His preferred storytelling is similar to that of David Baldacci and John Gresham with a hit of Kevin J Anderson.
His story offers adventure, with a cocktail of mystery and crime. He creates creatures from the depths of his mind and describes scenes in detail that will inspire your imagination, but will not blanket the reader in a sea of words. His stories are quick, easy to read and with minimum jargon. Shane’s goal is to tell a story, not impress with his writing technique.
